WHAT DO THE DIFFERENT ABSORBENCY LEVELS MEAN?
Our PeriodWear comes in 3 different levels of absorbency:
Leakproof: hic Our Leakproof range is designed to quickly wick away moisture from the skin and has a leakproof barrier to ensure leaks and drips go unnoticed. The leakproof range is designed to use on very light days and everyother day or as backup with a Period Cup.
Light-Moderate: holds 15ml of fluid, which is equal to 3tsp or 3regular tampons worth. So you can wear them on their own on lighter flow days, or as peace-of-mind back up protection on heavier days.
Moderate-Heavy: holds up to 20ml of fluid, which is equal to 4 tsp or 4 regular tampons worth. So you can wear them on their own, day or night, or as extra defence on heavy days.
HOW DOES LEAKPROOF PERIOD UNDERWEAR WORK?
Our period undies are designed to fit like your favourite underwear, featuring discreet multi-layered leakproof technology that wicks away moisture and absorbs fluid to keep you dry and protected all day. Designed to replace tampons and pads, better for you and the planet!
DO I NEED TO WEAR A PERIOD CUP, TAMPON OR LINER WITH LEAKPROOF PERIOD UNDIES?
Depending on the level of absorbency of leak-proof period underwear you choose and the heaviness of your flow, you can wear our period panties on their own or as backup protection along with a menstrual cup or tampon. Take the time to explore a routine that works for you.
HOW DO I WASH THEM?
After use, rinse them in cold water (we recommend in the shower) until they run clear. Then, machine wash in cold water with mild detergent (no bleach!). Hang out to dry (the sunnier the better) or tumble dry on low - that’s it! If it’s your first wear, pop them in the washing machine with your next cold cycle - washing them before wearing activates their absorbency even more.
CAN I RETURN MY LEAKPROOF PERIOD UNDERWEAR?
This is a new way to period, and we understand finding your way can take a few cycles to get into the swing of things. So, we’ve made a 90 day guarantee to support you to find the perfect period routine. This means, if you try our period undies over 3 cycles (90 Days) and it’s still not right for you, we will refund your first pair no questions asked.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CHANGE DURING THE DAY?
It all depends on your flow, if you are wearing the right style for your flow - you wont need to! However, if it's your first time we recommend travelling with a water-resistant travel bag such as the Period Proof Travel Bag, along with a spare pair, so you can do a switcheroo if you need to.
