WHAT DO THE DIFFERENT ABSORBENCY LEVELS MEAN?
Our PeriodWear comes in 2 different levels of absorbency:
Light-Moderate: holds 10ml of fluid, which is equal to 2 tsp or 2 regular tampons worth. So you can wear them on their own on lighter flow days, or as peace-of-mind back up protection on heavier days.
Moderate-Heavy: holds up to 15ml of fluid, which is equal to 3 tsp or 3 regular tampons worth. So you can wear them on their own, day or night, or as extra defence on heavy days.
HOW DOES LEAKPROOF PERIOD UNDERWEAR WORK?
Scarlet PeriodWear is designed to fit like normal underwear, and feature a multi-layered leak-proof technology that wicks away moisture, absorbs and contains fluid to keep you dry and protected. The built in leak-proof technology is harder working than disposable pads which means it can safely hold more liquid, and lasts for years not hours.
DO I NEED TO WEAR A PERIOD CUP, TAMPON OR LINER WITH LEAKPROOF PERIOD UNDIES?
Depending on the level of absorbency of leak-proof period underwear you choose and the heaviness of your flow, you can wear our period panties on their own or as backup protection along with a menstrual cup or tampon. Take the time to explore a routine that works for you.
HOW DO I WASH THEM?
After use, rinse them in cold water (we recommend in the shower) until they run clear. Then, machine wash in cold water with mild detergent (no bleach!). Hang out to dry (the sunnier the better) or tumble dry on low - that’s it! If it’s your first wear, pop them in the washing machine with your next cold cycle - washing them before wearing activates their absorbency even more.
CAN I RETURN MY LEAKPROOF PERIOD UNDERWEAR?

WHAT IF I NEED TO CHANGE DURING THE DAY?

I've tried other brands of period undies and these are definitely my favourite. The fabric feels like brand new after every wash and they are very comfy. I would highly recommend :)
Love it however; I'm generally 8-10 in a pant and 10-12 in knickers because I have a 'bum'. I went with the 'M' based on the size guide but found these to run on the small side, especially in comparison to the high-waisted briefs (which fit perfectly),
I'll be buying another pair but will size up so they fit properly.
Would love to see a high-waisted G in the same material as the H/W seamless knicker.
This is my second pregnancy and I have lbl sometimes. The gstring make me feel comfortable to be able to go about my day and not stress about embarrassing myself. I am normally a size 8 in clothes and 10-12 in underwear. I ordered the Medium and Large for my pregnancy. They do not rub or feel tight on my skin, they sit perfectly and I think the extra wide band is amazing compared to other brands I have tried, the band can make all the difference in comfort. I was searching for something that was comfortable, had organic cotton, and provided support for lbl, so i found all that in the Scarlet brand. I will be buying more!
Fantastic product! I love the Scarlet g-string for lighter flow days at the start and end of my period. I am an active person and love wearing the g-string with tights when I work out (usually at a slower pace when I am bleeding), it is very comfortable! X
