Heating up in 5 minutes, rae reaches a comfy 50°C. That’s hot. Just press a button for 3 seconds to turn on, toggle between three heat settings: low (5 hours), medium (3 hours), or high (2 hours), and feel the heat.

Your Questions, Answered

How long does a wearable heat pad last on one charge?

Depends on the setting. Low: 5+ hours. Medium: about 3 hours. High: 2+ hours. Then it charges on USB-C, the same cable as most things in your bag.

Can you wear a heat pad under clothes without it showing?

Yes. rae is about 270g, flat, curved and silent. Under jeans, a dress or work pants there is no outline and no sound. Nobody knows unless you tell them.

How hot does rae get?

Up to 50°C on high. Three settings, so you choose. Most people start on low and stay there. It is warm and steady, not scalding, and that is deliberate.

Can I use rae without the undies?

rae is designed to get hot, so we do recommend using rae with them or otherwise over your undies. If using directly on the skin, start at the lowest setting and monitor your comfort.

Is rae safety tested?

Yes. rae is tested and complies with the electrical safety standards required in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Europe, and it has auto shut-off and overheat protection built in.

Is a heat pad better than a hot water bottle?

For the couch, a hot water bottle is fine. For leaving the house, no. It is heavy, it can leak and it goes cold before you do. rae is powered and wearable, runs for hours on one charge and sits under your clothes. Your hot water bottle has never once left the house with you.

Why I built rae

I lived with severe period and pelvic pain for years. Stage-four endometriosis, adenomyosis, hormone treatments and multiple surgeries. I was dismissed, brushed off, and told to push through.

The products meant to help didn’t. Bulky wheat bags. Painful adhesives. Clunky design that didn’t fit real life. Nothing wearable. Nothing discreet. Nothing made by someone who actually lived with pain.

So I built the device I needed.
