We built the pocket for rae. Then it got obvious that plenty of the days you'd want heat aren't days you're bleeding.

So this is the same brief, made as normal undies. The pocket sits at the front of the high waist, holds rae flat and hands-free, and keeps rae off bare skin at the same time. Slip it in, switch it on, carry on.

How to wear it

1. Charge rae. Around 90 minutes on USB-C.

2. Pull the brief on, then slide rae into the front pocket. Curved side against you, wings sitting flat.

3. Switch it on through the fabric. Low runs 5+ hours, medium around 3, high around 2.

After that, you forget it is there, until someone asks why your stomach is warm.

Machine wash cold with a mild detergent.

No bleach, no fabric softener.

Line dry, or tumble on low.

These are not period undies. For bleeding days, wear the High-Waist Pocket Period Brief.

95% organic cotton, 5% elastane.

PFAS-free, independently lab-tested. Understand more about PFAS.

1% for the Planet. Scarlet is a member. A real commitment, not a sticker.

95% organic cotton. The part against your skin is grown, not spun out of petroleum.

Your Questions, Answered

Can you wear a heat pad without period underwear?

rae will sit between your underwear and your clothes if the waistband is firm enough, but a pocket holds it flat and stops it travelling. That's the whole reason this brief exists.

Are the Everyday Pocket Briefs period undies?

No, and that's deliberate. These are normal undies with a pocket. If you're bleeding, wear the High-Waist Pocket Period Brief instead.

What's the difference between the Everyday Brief and the Pocket Period Brief?

Same cut, same pocket, same sizing, same 95% organic cotton. The Period Brief is period underwear. This one is normal underwear.

Do I need rae to wear these?

No. They're good underwear with an empty pocket, which is still just underwear. The pocket is there for when you want it.

Can you use a wearable heat pad when you're not on your period?

Plenty of people do. Heat is part of a lot of toolkits and rae makes it wearable, so it goes where you go. It's a comfort device, not a medical device.

Are these PFAS-free?

Yes, and independently lab-tested, which is the only reason we're allowed to say it.

What size should I get?

Your usual size. Sizes run 6 to 18, XS to XXXL, and the fit matches the High-Waist Pocket Period Brief, so if you own those, order the same.
