How would you describe your work in one sentence?
Helping women feel strong, seen, and supported through movement, wellness, and community.
What’s been your journey to get here?
I studied business at uni, which led me into a full-time corporate role that I still work in today. At the same time, I discovered Pilates and fell completely in love with it. I started teaching before and after work, even on weekends, and used that dual income to save like crazy and open my dream studio, Potentia Pilates! I shared the entire journey online, which helped build an engaged community before the doors even opened.
Why did you launch Potentia Pilates?
Potentia was born from a vision to create a studio that felt genuinely warm, personal, and community-driven – something I felt was missing in the Pilates space with the rise of franchises. I wanted more than just a place to work out. I wanted to build a space where people felt seen, supported, and celebrated. I introduced infrared saunas into the model to offer a more holistic approach to wellness and movement, supporting recovery, mental clarity, and overall well-being.

What inspired your new brand, Andie Body?
The idea for Andie Body originated from a feeling of frustration with the constant ads from so-called “female brands” that relied on making women feel insecure to sell their products. I remember thinking, THAT’S IT, I’m starting a brand that genuinely empowers women to look and feel their best, without capitalising on their insecurities!
As a Pilates instructor, that’s been my mission from day one: to help women show up for themselves and move with confidence. Andie Body was born from that same passion – a love of beauty, bold ideas, and doing things differently.
What’s surprised you most about building a business?
- Energy is contagious. If I’m passionate and excited, it flows into everything – the branding, the team, the customers.
- Your mindset is a business tool. Confidence, resilience, and self-belief are just as important as strategy or funding.
- Community is everything. The people who support your brand early on often become your biggest advocates – treat them like gold.
What keeps you grounded when things get hard?
When things feel chaotic, I return to the reason I started. I remind myself that I chose this path to create freedom, connection, and impact, not to tick a million boxes or chase perfection. I zoom out, take a breath, and focus on the next best step. Slowing down always helps me move forward with more intention.
What’s your go-to period self-care routine or product?
My approach is to try to be business as usual, as for me, movement is medicine. I try not to let my period impact my usual day-to-day as best I can. One thing I do have, though, is melatonin before bed, as quality sleep is even more important when my period is here!
Do you track your cycle? How does it shape your week?
Sort of! I write the date I got my period in my Notes app, so I know roughly when to expect it next. I don’t change my routines based on the phase of the cycle I’m in. I prefer to listen to my body and what it needs on any given day.

What’s one thing you wish girls knew about hormones?
Although it’s not meant to feel great, it’s not meant to feel completely awful. Pain, exhaustion, or severe mood swings shouldn’t be ignored or brushed off - they could be a sign of something more serious.
Any top tips for cycle-friendly nutrition or movement?
Keep it simple. Prioritise protein, hydrate more than you think you need, and don’t be afraid to slow down your workouts. Maintaining even gentle movement like yoga, walking, or Pilates can be helpful for cramps.
What’s a day in your life from AM to PM?
The morning typically begins with coffee and emails, followed by classes or meetings, and then content creation and administrative tasks in the afternoon. Evenings are for beach walks, a Pilates class, a sauna, or downtime with my partner.
What does self-care look like for you?
Self-care for me is about protecting my energy and being intentional with how I spend my time. I’m big on positivity and mindset, as that has the biggest impact on how I show up for myself, others, and my businesses. Some of my non-negotiables that help maintain this mindset include regular movement, infrared saunas, CBD oil at night, and showing gratitude - and this last one is a splurge, but I get at least one massage a week! Sometimes there isn’t time for all of this, but even something as simple as a clean space and a quiet morning makes a big difference to how I show up for my business and myself.
Any non-negotiables in your wellness routine?
Movement, magnesium, massages, and time outside!

What are you doing more of for your health? And less of?
Recently, I’ve been exploring biohacking and investigating ways to enhance my energy, gut health, and focus. I’ve been adding things into my water, such as liquid iron, creatine, lion’s mane, electrolytes, NMN, and more!
Why do you think periods are still taboo?
Because we weren’t taught to speak about them openly, generations of silence take time to undo.
If every woman were listening, what’s your #1 health message?
You are the expert of your body. Trust it and advocate for it!
What’s your dream for the future of period talk?
That it becomes completely normal to talk about in every setting because IT IS NORMAL! I dream of a future where workplaces actively support menstrual health, schools teach it properly, and brands represent it without filters or fluff.
